About the Author
Elaine Stienon grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and attended the University of Michigan, where she majored in English and American literature. In her senior year she won a Hopwood award--a prize in creative writing--for a collection of short stories.
Since that time, she has had stories published in literary magazines such as Phoenix, South, Cimarron Review, the Ball State University Forum, and The Writer's Journal. The Light of the Morning is her third published novel. She lives in Glendale, California, where she devotes her time to writing and teaching.
Presently she is working on a sequel to The Light of the Morning. Entitled In Clouds of Fire, A Story of Community, it deals with the phenomenal growth of the early church, the Saints in Ohio and Missouri, and the diverse backgrounds from which they came.
