Michael Jordan Almost from the moment of Michael Jordan's second retirement from the game of basketball, there was intense pressure from the television networks and advertisers on the NBA and its Commissioner, David Stern, to get him to return. Jordan's retirement heightened disenchantment among fans who were already disgruntled that the season had been shortened due to the lockout. This movie takes an inside look at the maneuverings to get Jordan to return to the game so the NBA can win its fans back. Michael Jordan turns down a 100 million dollar offer from the Bulls so Stern offers a substantial bonus to the staffer who can get Jordan to come out of retirement a second time. A nefarious scheme is hatched to blackmail Jordan into re-signing (staffers hire a private investigator to follow Jordan in Chicago to dig up dirt (extra marital affairs, gambling, etc.). The Director of NBA Marketing comes up with an idea to lure Jordan back into the game. The screenplay describes actual events that occurred during the shortened 98-99 season through the 2000-2001 season. The screenplay has everything-- shameless promotion of the NBA and its players, villains, a high speed car chase, adult language and sex.
