Bottomline-V. We update our software about twice each year.
It's a great deal when you consider that about 38 Bottomline-V clients told us that
they first spent $10,000.00 for what they thought was a sophisticated, state-of-the-art
financial modeling system. After attending a three-day class for an additional $1,200.00 and
struggling for weeks or months to get their application developed and productive, they heard about
Bottomline-V or CEO's Strategic Planner and placed their order with ILAR Systems, Inc.
They were amazed that they were able to develop their financial modeling application
within a couple days, and most of these individuals called Dr. John F. Richardson to thank him.
Two One-Hour Audio-Visual CD's on Corporate Finance amp; Valuation Analysis
All customers who place their update orders now will be guaranteed to receive two one-hour audio-visual CD's on Corporate Finance amp; Valuation Analysis, which is a $99.00 value, when purchased separately. Dr. John F. Richardson, developer of these models, and a former professor at Purdue University, U.S.C., and National University gives a vivid presentation with actual model screen shots during the second hour, directly off a live model from CEO's Strategic Planner.
Bottomline-V Technical Product Update
We would like to thank you for selecting Bottomline-V to assist you with your business
financial planning, forecasting, modeling, budget and cash flow projections, simulation
and valuation analysis.
Over the past 12 months, we have continuously improved and enhanced this
state-of-the-art system based upon feedback from many of you, our customers, as well as
substantial independent research. In the past few months, we have added the following new
features to Bottomline-V:
- 14 valuation methods have been integrated into the system and are explained in great
detail with a 33-page paper that includes two pages of references. An automatic valuation
analysis statement is generated in the following models: MODEL, HISTORY, HISTRY2, RANGE,
RANGE2, MFGMOD, SERVMOD, LBO, REAL5, CEOTEC5, NEWMOD, EXAMPLE1 (example
for MODEL), EXAMPLE2 (example for SERVMOD) and MFG001 (example for MFGMOD).
In addition, there is a discounted cash flow program (DCF) that is front-ended with a routine to figure
out capitalization rates using the Capital Asset Pricing Model (developed by a Nobel Prize Laureate),
with the most recent theory to determine discount rates, etc.
- Five-year industry specific models have been added to Bottomline-V, for the following
industries: Manufacturing, Healthcare, Service, Construction Contractor, Entrepreneurial,
Real Estate, Technology, and Not-for-profit organizations (which can be used for limited partnerships
and Sub-Chapter S corporations, where pre-tax profits and some write-offs flow through to
the owners).
- An 'Advanced Financial Analysis' statement was added to MODEL, SERVMOD, and
MFGMOD. This statement contains six growth performance ratios, two key break-even analysis
percentages, manpower and space requirements analysis, the Aragon maximum growth rate
formula, and the Venture Capitalist 'hockey-stick' analysis to determine what percent of
the company a venture capitalist might require for a certain investment amount based upon the
company's third-year after-tax profit. This statement adds the 'bottom-up' planning aspect
to our traditional 'top-down' planning and simulation analysis models.
- There are twenty-five models, nine programs and four example problems of the respective
models in our most recent version of Bottomliine-V. These example models have data in them
for your quick review and analysis. This saves a great deal of time, especially in testing
new concepts and programming techniques. All of the models have built-in checks and
counter checks with ILAR's 'triple zero' balancing technique found in each model's
Worksheet statement.
- Cost accounting using labor, material and overhead, both direct and indirect, have been
added to the system for those manufacturing firms that might desire to model their costs
in detail. A new program has been added to do simple budget cash flow planning and cost
accounting analysis at the basic level of cash flow analysis. It is called BUDMFG.
- It should be remembered that the system comes with a 12-month and a 24-month financial
simulation model for short-term planning and analysis using the same ten to twelve
financial statement formats as in the five-year, annual models and the two-year,
quarterly model. The business valuation statement is not included, since it is not
appropriate on a monthly basis. On a special request basis, ILAR can provide clients with
13-month and 26-month budget cash flow programs and models, for those who use the 13 and
26 period accounting system. It should be noted that several of our customers have taken
the 26-month model and readily converted it into a 52-week, weekly model for detailed cash
flow planning on a true simulation basis.
- There is also a RISK program that assists general managers and planners in analyzing
business risk vs. financial risk of new projects or capital expenditures. This program
uses basic statistical analysis calculations (mean and standard deviation) which are easy
to follow and understand, whether one has no education or background in statistics or
forgot what he or she might have studied several years ago.
- The CashflowPLUS model and its EXAMPLE problem have been reformatted, from the original
version, so that the data input section is no longer off to the right of the Income
Statement, but its two pages of input assumptions are directly above the Income Statement.
The CashflowPLUS model does not include business valuation analysis. Remember, it
integrates a simple 12-month, monthly budget and cash flow statement into a basic
five-year model for the start-up company, the novice or the student.
- For those still using the Lotus 1-2-3 or Quattro Pro DOS versions, there are two print
macros in each of the 35 models, programs and examples. It is necessary to set your laser
printer to 66 lines per page, since they default to 60 lines per page, but our models use
the unformatted 66 lines per page, since it is so convenient, no matter what type of
printer is being used. Then simply depress the 'Alternate and R' keys together to obtain
regular printing of your model or program on any printer. To obtain compressed printing on
a laser printer only, depress the 'Alternate and C' keys together. Print codes are provided for Hewlett
Packard and Panasonic laser printers.
- Existing Bottomline-V customers of ILAR Systems, Inc. can receive the most recent update to
their copy of Bottomline-V that has been described above based upon when they placed their
last order, according to the following pricing scheme:
$99.00 if you ordered within the last 12 to 18 months.
$297.50 if you ordered within the last 19 to 36 months.
$397.50 if you ordered within 37 to 60 months.
$497.50 if you ordered more than five years ago.
