Ernie Minney has been selling used sails for the past 30 years. An experienced ocean racer and circumnavigator, Ernie personally measures and appraises every sail that goes out of his yacht surplus store. All sails are sold on approval and may be returned for a full refund if the sails are unsatisfactory for ANY REASON. Once you pick a sail, it will be re-measured and double checked. You will be contacted and informed of the exact condition of the sail. UPS is the normal method of shipping. All major credit cards are accepted.

As you all know, sails are getting mighty expensive. Ernie can usually sell you a brand new sail for about 1/2 the cost of a sail loft and a good used sail for 10% to 30% of the new price. North-Hood-Sobstad-U.K. etc., Minney's sail list features the top sailmakers in the world. Ernie's store (a So. Calif. Institution!) is located 1/2 mile from Newport Harbor. It is in an ideal location for So. Calif. yachtsmen to drop off their surplus sails. Ernie buys, sells and trades sails. He's a tough buyer, but as you can see by his modest prices, he's an easy seller.
