About the Artist:
Charles Leonard was born in North Carolina and raised in Sarasota,
Florida. He graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee
at Chattanooga and holds a Master's of Fine Arts Degree from the
University of Georgia. Mr. Leonard has exhibited his paintings for
the past 25 years and is represented in collections throughout the
US, Canada, Western Europe, the Bahamas, South America, New Zealand
and Japan. His work is included in several public museums in Georgia,
as well as public university and private commercial collections.
For the last 18 years, Mr. Leonard has concentrated his energy on
the production of hand-colored and multicolored etchings. He has
acquired the most diverse collection of editions offered by any
artist in America. His subject matter is varied: African Animals,
cats, dogs, birds of prey, coastal birds, beetles, frogs and most
notably fish. Mr. Leonard is noted for his vast array of fish etchings…over
25 editions featuring both fresh and saltwater species as well as
fishing lures and fly rods. Each of these hand produced etchings
has a limited edition size of 400. |
