By July, 2001, there should be approximately 200 FertilityCare™
Centers throughout the United States and an additional 50 or
60 internationally. These FertilityCare™
Centers provide professional instruction in the CREIGHTON
MODEL FertilityCare™ System,
a comprehensive system of family planing that monitors and maintains a
woman's health. The number of these centers will grow in the years ahead. As a means of avoiding pregnancy, the CREIGHTON MODEL FertilityCare™ System is 99.5% method effective and 96.8% use effective. Since it is not strictly a method of contraception but rather a method of true family planning, it can also be used to achieve pregnancy by simply reversing its use. With the application of the CREIGHTON MODEL FertilityCare™ System and the new reproductive science of NaProTECHNOLOGY®, this is also a system that can be used to monitor and maintain a woman's health. It has been found to be extremely helpful in women with reproductive problems such as infertility, repetitive miscarriage, previous stillbirths and previous prematurity. In addition, it is helpful in women who have abnormal bleeding, premenstrual syndrome, recurrent ovarian cysts, and in dating the beginning of pregnancy from its true beginning - the estimated time of conception.
