Galaxy Mall does not condone nor support any type of abuse of the Internet, whether through spam of email, or Usenet, etc. In fact, we tolerate no such abuse.

Galaxy Mall defines spam as mass email sent to recipients who have not requested mail from you, and/or with a fake return address.

Please note that while we host web sites, and Autoresponders, we DO NOT provide any email services for any of our customers.

It is contrary to Galaxy Mall policy for any Galaxy Mall Merchant to effect or participate in any of the following activities:

1. To post to any Usenet or other newsgroup, forum, email mailing list or other similar group or list articles which are off-topic according to the charter of that Newsgroup, forum, email mailing list or other similar group.

2.To send unsolicited email to more than twenty (20) email users, if such unsolicited email could reasonably be expected to provoke complaints.

3. To falsify user information provided to Galaxy Mall or to other users of the service in connection with use of a Galaxy Mall service; and

4. To engage in any of the foregoing activities by using the service of another provider, but making reference to a Galaxy Mall Address or channeling such activities through a Galaxy Mall account, remailer, or otherwise through a Galaxy Mall service or using a Galaxy Mall account as a maildrop for responses or otherwise using the services of another provider for the purpose of facilitating the foregoing activities if such use of another party's service could reasonably be expected to adversely affect a Galaxy Mall service.

Galaxy Mall considers the above practices to constitute abuse of our service and of the recipients of such unsolicited mailings and/or postings, who often bear the expense. Therefore, Galaxy Mall’s terms and conditions of service prohibit these practices. Engaging in one or more of these practices will result in termination of the offender's account and/or access to Galaxy Mall services.

In addition, Galaxy Mall reserves the right, where feasible, to implement technical mechanisms which block multiple postings as described above before they are forwarded or otherwise sent to their intended recipients.

This policy addresses only the kinds of network abuse specifically enumerated above. In addition to these activities, Galaxy Mall's terms and conditions of service also prohibit other forms of abuse such as harassment and the posting of illegal or unlawful materials, and Galaxy Mall will respond as appropriate to these other activities as well.

Nothing contained in this policy shall be construed to limit Galaxy Mall's actions or remedies in any way with respect to any of the foregoing activities, and Galaxy Mall reserves the right to take any and all additional actions it may deem appropriate with respect to such activities, including without limitation taking action to recover the costs and expenses of identifying offenders and removing them from the Galaxy Mall service, and levying cancellation charges to cover Galaxy Mall's costs in the event of disconnection of dedicated access for the causes outlined above. In addition, Galaxy Mall reserves at all times all rights and remedies available to it with respect to such activities at law or in equity.
Galaxy Mall Policy on Adding Outside CGI Scripts to Storefronts

Because CGI (Common Gateway Interface) Script can interfere with the normal
operations of the Galaxy Mall servers representing a significant danger to
all merchants hosted on the Mall, only CGI Script created by the Galaxy
programming department can be used and hosted on Galaxy Mall.

It is important to understand this because people often ask if we can host
their existing web site. It is important to understand the answer to this
question is a qualified "Yes." There are a few different situations and
solutions available, depending on the circumstances:

1. Straight html programming offers no challenges, however if the site
contains a shopping cart, or special programming which interfaces with a
data base, an on-line real-time processing of credit cards, or any other
CGI Script, it will be necessary to re-configure the site to include Galaxy
CGI Script. CGI Script is provided by Galaxy programming department at
$100 per hour, with a minimum of $300. (An estimate or firm quote can be
obtain before any programming begins.)

2. When a person is happy with their current shopping cart and
processing, we can host the html portion and simply link to their current
site for ordering.

Some merchants may know, and actually write CGI Script. Unfortunately,
because Galaxy programmers have to be in a position restore, and otherwise
support all software on the servers, we can not allow non-Galaxy CGI Script
on Galaxy servers. Accordingly, if a merchant is not willing to accept the
Galaxy shopping cart and credit card processing CGI Script, it will be
necessary for them to pay for Galaxy programmers to custom program their
desires/requirements.

Again, under no circumstance will we allow any non-Galaxy created CGI
Script to run on the Galaxy servers. There are no exceptions.
