THE BOOK

The US government has been bringing back Vietnam MIA's and POW's since 1975, alive. In 1974 US Air Force Colonel Timothy Kilco devised a plan to bring back our men lost in Vietnam. He knew that both Vietnam and the US did not want to suffer the embarrassment of admitting that these men existed. Kilco created a covert action and proclaimed it PROJECT STOWAWAY. The aim of the project was to bring the missing men back and subject them to every physical and psychological test available. If fit for reintroduction into society, the subjects were integrated back into the populous with new identities. The only stipulation was that the subjects could never reveal who they once were. No problems were evident so the project was proclaimed a success in 1987. In 1988 the unexpected happened; one of the subjects slipped through the cracks. Since no tests had been run and there was no way to track him the Project coordinators labeled him a loss and continued with business as usual.

In 1993 two murders are committed in the Los Angeles area. The investigating officers stumbled upon a killer with a taste to kill Viet Cong style. In a surprising turn of events, the senior investigating officer, Detective First Grade Steve Crandall, finds himself directly linked to the killer. The story unveils a cast of characters all linked to a devastating event in the same past. The killer has a passion for revenge. As the investigation continues the clues unfold a story of cowardice, deceit and vengeance that spans over twenty-one years and two continents. As Steve and his partner put the pieces together to catch a killer, an Air Force officer on the other side of the country discovers that a mistake, swept under the rug, could cost him, as well as others, their lives.

The reader follows our killer on a spine tingling journey from his tortured past to a vengeful present. Through flashbacks we learn the origin of his pain and anger. We join him on his quest for vengeance.
