THE BOOK

This book is action-adventure, thriller, dealing with the life and times of an ex-special forces character named John McCade. The book introduces the lead and secondary characters, running, for their lives after they had sanctioned a top government official of North Vietnam. The action is fast and furious, detailing the chase and the way the team of special operatives fight their way out while being chased by the North Vietnamese Army.

Thirteen years after leaving Vietnam, John McCade and his family encounter Richard Stracton, a psychopathic killer on the loose, and his band of criminals in the Mojave desert. The book explodes with suspense and adventure and before it is all over, McCade's family is slaughtered, his young daughter raped and killed and the main character left for dead in the vastness of the desert.

This suspense thriller is a "tour de force" into the life of one man, the forces that shape him and how those forces help him to overcome the incredible obstacles in his life, first Vietnam and later in the burning emptiness of the desert, fighting for his survival and to avenge his family.

Review

"It is refreshing to see a character like John McCade. He is an "honorable man" a man of his word and who lived by a code of ethics, words like duty and integrity. He is someone I think today's military officers should be like, sadly they don't. It used to be "Follow me" during the Vietnam era but now it's listen to me", micro-mangement. I enjoyed the book very much and intend to buy other book by Michael Diaz." —Sgt Auddis Ward Jr, Police Officer - University of Memphis, Vietnam vet(173rd ABN BDE) and a Rhodesian vet(Selous Scout)
