This is a work of fiction. All characters and events portrayed in this book are fictional, and any resemblance to real people or incidents is purely coincidental.
The author is from a heritage of small towns in Southeast Kansas. He began his college career in pursuit of a Theatre Degree, before being stricken with an acute case of adrenalin poisoning, thus changing the course of his life forever. He became a police officer in 1992 in a small town and moved on to a larger small town, perhaps not unlike the fictional Captain's Crossing.
Small towns have long been considered safe. A haven from the crime affecting the larger cities. This is exactly why Jack Tranor left the bright lights of Kansas City behind and joined the Captain's Crossing Police Department. For five years he was satisfied with his change. Until bodies began turning up, including that of a rookie officer. It is now up to Jack to find the killer and overcome the obstacles placed before him by a bureaucracy streaming from city hall, less interested in finding a killer than they are of protecting a burgeoning tourist industry.
Its Jack Tranor's job to find the killer before he strikes again, and his next victim could be the woman Jack has come to care a great deal for.
When God Speaks is a mystery thriller.
