THE BOOK

In Part 1, Jesse Jones, a twelfth grader, is unhappy with the world around him. His parents argue constantly, school is intolerable, and girls treat him like he doesn't exist. As a result, he runs away and lives with a poor, old man who he sees as the only true and honest person in town.

In Part 2, Jesse determines to improve the old man's life, against the will of his parents and the community.

In Part 3, Jesse wins the friendship of five of his classmates who form a club called the "Good Guys and Girls of America." Their goal is simply this: to help people and make the world a better place. You'll be surprised to find out how their relentless love and pursuit of truth turn the whole community around.
