THE AUTHOR

Diane Lee Horwood was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She moved to the State of Michigan in 1969, where horseback riding became her number one hobby. In 1989, Commander and Finesse was transported to Tucson, Arizona, where Diane is now residing, loving and caring for her horses for over 20 years.

The Wicked Witch of the West multi-stories are fiction and nonfiction. The two Morgan horses are real, the historical sites in Tucson are authentic, and the actual statue of "The Wicked Witch" is somewhere in the desert. However, the magical witch and the multi-stories are totally the creative imagination of the author, building up plots, mystery, adventure, and supernatural surroundings that creates a vivid image for all readers to enjoy.

On February 24, 2000, the author received "The Silver Angel Award" trophy from The Excellence In Media's 23rd International Angel Awards in Hollywood, California. She received this award for being a first time author, published by a publisher, and contributing to the community a childrens/adult story for all to read on the Internet.

Just recently, the author received another "Silver Angel Award" Certificate of Excellence for her second book, "The Talking Wicked Witch of the West" and "A Friend For The Wicked Witch of the West", from Excellence In Media's 26th International Angel Awards

Now, you can read her three novels as an eBook or in paperback from Denlinger's Publishers and Bookstore. Her fourth InstaBook is coming in the near future. Don't miss "Freeing The Wicked Witch of the West" and "The Magical Horse for The Wicked Witch of the West". The multi-stories continues.

THE BOOK

Monsoons and The Wicked Witch of the West continues from the fifth story, Cloning the Wicked Witch of the West.

Two boys and their horses go on a trail ride in the wash toward the Rincon Mountains. A dust devil twirls in their path, changing their direction without the riders or their horses knowing what happened. The adventure heightens when the monsoon storms come in full blast with wind, thunder and lightning. The Wicked Witch of the West cannot help the travelers, as they were out of her desert. KC, her magical dog friend, crashes into a rock trying to help the boys from the predicament they were in, but he too became immobilized. What happens to the heros and their horses when no magic is around? Something very strange happens! The magical statue finds a way to help.

You can feel the wind roaring, hear the thunder rumbling, and see the flashing of the lightning, when you continue reading the Monsoons and The Wicked Witch of the West.
