About the book:

A school bus, named "Penelope", has a humorous personality all her own. She loves her job transporting students to and from school in a safe manner. There are other buses in the fleet, which are her friends and together they share laughter, concerns, and their views as buses.

Penelope and Kalie, her friend and driver, work together as a team. They greet each other every day with a smile. They enjoy seeing their friends of nature every morning as they embark on their route.

Penelope loves the children and they in turn love her. Their love teaches that it's okay to love and cherish the things surrounding every day lives, even if those things are made from metal and bolts. And, in her job, Penelope and Kalie wish to share with the public, to please be aware of the school buses on the road and to obey the laws regarding their loading lights. This helps Penelope and Kalie transport their students safely.
