You'll never be forgotten.

In the civilian community she worked as a paralegal, administrative assistant, a computer software/hardware technician, and network systems administrator. Three years ago she accepted an early retirement package from a major telecommunications' corporation.
She presently lives with her husband in Washington.

THE BOOK
Destiny brought Susan Brittany and Steven Grant together during the summer of 1966. Their life started out with all the love and passion most people only dream about. But a mere seven months after their marriage, the Navy issued him a new set of orders. Those orders transferred him from his San Diego-based destroyer to a Seabee battalion in Port Hueneme, California, where he would serve as security officer. This particular Mobile Construction Battalion had already made one trip to VietNam. Their next scheduled departure date was March, 1968. But this time, Lieutenant Grant would be going with them.
The conflict taking place in Southeast Asia would disrupt the Grants' lives beyond what they could have imagined as individuals, and as husband and wife. Every day for nine months, Steven would experience all the chaos and savageness of war. There were times he would question his own beliefs and values. And suddenly, he was brought face-face with his own mortality.
Although the horror taking place was thousands of miles away, it still managed to reach back to Susan, striking at heart and mind. Would Steven survive? Would their lives change? Would they be able to survive those changes?
Selected Reviews
"Entertaining... and informative!, I could relate with this book, having been a teenager, growing up in California during the time of the Vietnam War. Ms. Marasco has an incredibly smooth style to her writings -- which makes it easy to forget the time -- and to keep flipping the pages!" Diane Morgan, Long Beach, CA USA
