About the book:

The year was 1839, when two young trappers brutally rape the wife and mother belonging to the Lakota Sioux and steal her daughter after leaving her for dead.

Trinilia Newton walks the shore in Norfolk, Virginia like so many times in the past while she has grown into womanhood. However, on this particular day, a spiritual voice in the wind gives her shocking news that changes the pattern of her life forever.

It is, with this knowledge and several confrontations with the strange phenomenon, that Trinilia leaves the farm in search of her heritage in a worn torn era of the Civil and Indian wars.

In her adventure, a web of destruction begins to unfold leaving a path of horrible truths linked to the past. It involves those she has come to love and of the men that raped her mother years ago, leaving some lives shattered, while others are given hope, freedom and romance.
