ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Tomas Janovsky played a significant role in starting
the Pacemaker Clinic at the University of British Columbia in
Vancouver, Canada.
He managed the clinic between 1986 and 1993.
In 1993 he moved to Los Angeles where he accepted
the position of Cardiac Ultrasound Technician
at the Los Angeles County/University of Southern California
Hospital and Medical Center, Department of Anesthesia.
His primary task was teaching transesophageal ultrasound
to Anesthesia residents.

The activity has been approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing Provider #CEP ll920 for 3 contact hours. However, the nurse is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education.
