Tomas Janovsky played a significant role in starting
the Pacemaker Clinic at the University of British Columbia in
Vancouver, Canada.
He managed the clinic between 1986 and 1993.
In 1993 he moved to Los Angeles where he accepted
the position of Cardiac Ultrasound Technician
at the Los Angeles County/University of Southern California
Hospital and Medical Center, Department of Anesthesia.
His primary task was teaching transesophageal ultrasound
to Anesthesia residents.
This text explains in simple and easy to understand terms
the principles of transesophageal echocardiography
to those who are interested in this diagnostic tool.
